- Time for some old scholl crossover with Uncle Slam! Today we checkout the song "Executioner" from the 1988 album Say Uncle, this is my first time hearing Uncle Slam, so I need all; the fans of the band to tell me about Uncle Slam!
Uncle Slam was an American crossover thrash band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1987. They were influenced by punk rock bands of the 1980s like Suicidal Tendencies (which featured some of the members of Uncle Slam and the Brood), D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, Black Flag

Loved this Shane. I am the singer/guitarist for Uncle Slam. We did record 3 albums from 1987 through 1995. I did play in the Brood, that's how I met Amery Smith(drummer from ST) but we had long left The Brood when we formed Uncle Slam. The internet has long promoted a misconception that we just changed the name from The Brood to Uncle Slam. Not true. It was a completely new formed band. It was a trio. Amery, Louichi, and I were a power trio. We are all old guys now with only a 5 % chance of ever playing together again. But, absolutely enjoyed your enthusiasm, Shane.
Your personality and love for hard rock is contagious....you are a star!!!
Wow! Welcome my friend, totally honored to have you hangin' around, that means the world to me, I appreciate that! I am pinning your comment here so people can say hello!
Im just waiting for the reunion! No bad songs on any of their albums!
They were called The Brood and released one album then changed their name to Uncle Slam and released 3 albums.
Yeah bro - you promised! You Delivered! They were formed by ex members of Suicidal Tendencies and released two more albums: Will Work For Food and When God Dies . If you haven't already, check out the band Cerebral Fix and the song Enter The Turmoil.
Hell yeah! Heard this the other day. Awesome request. My old band played Weirdo Man for years. Long live the 90s!🤟🤟👍👍
Awesome! Weirdo Man is tremendous and my favorite Uncle Slam song 🤘
FUN FACT: Drummer Amery Smith (AWOL) was the touring/studio drummer a lot of the hardcore punk tracks from the BEASTIE BOYS.
Forgot to mention....loved the shirt. Huge Ghost fan!
Such a great album. Divebomb also remastered the song called The Punisher. Sometimes referred to as The Keeper of Mean. Which was the secret song from the cassette. Not available on the C.d.
Great song, now I think I’ll go to the kitchen and make a Slam Sandwich! 🤘😁
Uncle slam previous name was the brood and realized an album called the brood j

Band formed along with the drummer who played on the self titled first ST album. Amery Smith.
It's too bad these guys didn't take off and get more recognition. Loved all their albums.
I remember buying the cassette based on the ex ST factors ( and the awesome band name) . I actually prefer his vocals over Mike Muir’s.
Sweet! Im with ya going to listen to the whole record.
one of the sickest bands, all three albums
pure sickness.
When you said MOD while reading the related artists, I had a quasi-dyslexic moment and heard OMD a/k/a Orchestral Movements in the Dark, the 80's new wave band, and I thought, "Whaaatttttt???" Why am I not surprised that the SDTV Holy Thrash Trinity - Bobby Simpson, White Bread, and Michael Buchanan - were totally down with this! Y'all know thrash (and related genres) have to be "just so" for me and I found this right decent....so YEAH!!! 🤘
Never heard of them, but I like it.
Yo if you dig this, must checkout the Dr.Know album" Wreckage in Flesh" 1987. Listen to City wheels, Mastermind and the title track. They also do the best cover of the Sabs "Into the void". Fuckin Epic!........
They have a couple more albums. Will work for food and When God Dies. 🤘🤘
Huge fan of Uncle Slam. Say Uncle and Will Work For Food are all time Crossover classics 🤘When God Dies is good but not great like the first 2 albums.
