This is perfect as literally I fall between the two pictures you are showing! No one has ever addressed it this way when I’m tan I fall into the light Spring but without I’m more of a soft Summer. Thank you!
At age 70, my hair is all white. My eyebrows have almost disappeared. My lashes are still quite dark, but short; I haven't used mascara since blepharitis. My lips are also pale. My eyes are blue-green. However, my skintone is warm and my face gets tanned living in Sicily. So I still have contrast, and wear strong colours
This is where I always get screwed up because I have very blonde eyebrows and eyelashes to the point where they are invisible, but none of the other light characteristics you described apply to me. I have medium brown hair, light skin that doesn't burn easily, and "non-delicate" green eyes 😞
Yes, Emilia was wearing wigs all along for Game of Thrones. (She however had her hair bleached for other roles so that might be when her hair got damaged). In real life, Emilia is a Soft (Summer).
I would like to see a Daenarys draping. As a child I had Snow White colouring; very dark hair, dark eyes and eyebrows with pale skin. At the age of 60 my eyebrows are still very dark, so are my lashes but my hair is white. My eyes, though still dark, look more hazel with age. I tried the CMB AI analysis and came out as winter, but I don't much like saturated colours and prefer to wear the deepest of the summer colours. My colouring now is similar to Daenarys (not the eyes), so I would be very interested in a deep dive into her colours.
I'm Icelandic and have been typed both as light spring and light summer😄 my eyes are rather dark blue grayish I think but I dye my eyebrows and lashes. I can't position myself completely in spring or summer. Perhaps I'm just light? ❤
I have the Daenerys coloring! No wonder I’m so confused. 😂 I’ve white/pale grey hair (I’m 59), dark eyebrows and eyelashes, pale denim blue eyes, dark rose lips and pale skin. Have spent the last few month trying to colour analyze myself. I’ve got no chance, have I? 😂😂
Emilia wore a wig for the series. She's soft and warm and has a deep olive skin tone. I think Emilia Clarke is a true autumn. Search for pictures of her wearing orange and then blue. She absolutely glows in warm colors and orange. Wish I could post a link here.
I think Emily Clark, with her white hair and medium eyebrows, would fit decently in the cool palette. We might see this combination of coloring when someone goes grey/white but their eyebrows haven’t lightened yet? I don’t know 🤷♀️
Emila Clark in GOT would be impossible to place because she naturally is a mid brunette. I doubt if she will go white as she ages. I suspect she will be gray. She is a classic English Rose. Actually, that would be an interesting topic for you to eventually address: how do people who choose an “unnatural” hair color adjust their makeup colors to achieve some harmony. I’m referring to dramatic blonde, blue black, or the wonderful crayon 🖍️ colors that are so popular.
Yes to Khaleesi drapping. I too am curious how dark a natural blond can be light. My natural hair is dark blonde but I do have blonde brows and eyelashes, aqua eyes, and ivory skin. I've always thought my dominant characteristic is light but I look bad in pastels so perhaps not.
POC can fall under all of the six categories, it is all about the overall complexion. Otherwise, POC would automatically fall into deep categories only. Unfortunately, the only POC example shown here is in the dark category. I would LOVE for this channel to talk about this and include more POC examples. It's ok if someone maybe doesn't have enough experience in working with POC but it should absolutely be mentioned that people with a darker (non-white) overtone still have a complexion that's fitting in one of the six categories, seasons and palettes. I can't show you an example now but just google "Color analysis POC" and you'll find examples for all tge complexions.
Question, is soft meaning little contrast because of features being light/ blending as opposed to dark and light high contrast or clear? what season is one with more gold blonde, blue eyes and warm skin?
I have white hair, dark brows and lashes as well as dark brown eyes, neutral skin tone. Was told I was a Winter when I had light brown hair before it turned white. So I am not a cool or a deep
Would someone with Taylor Swift level hair be considered light? I’m like a dark to medium blonde naturally… I find the toughest colours for me to wear are dark ones- navy, dark brown, black… no matter cool or warm, if it’s dark it’s just generally unflattering Also pastels are my best colours by far I’m a mix of German and Danish/ Swedish- so I guess I’m in that region you mentioned. But there are people I know who naturally have platinum level hair, so just wanted to know if dark/ medium blondes would be in the mix too
I believe the Norwegian singer AURORA is also a light. As for Daenerys, could she be cool? Would love if you would drape her. How do you determine whether someone is light or cool?
I would say her(emilia clarke) dominant characteristic is either light or cool-icy hair icy skin. Going off the middle picture. Her tone of hair keeps changing
I am closer to the lady you had on the left. But, my eyes are deeper blue than hers. I struggle with the light category. I am not light for my ethnicity, but compared to everyone else I am.
You would also find lots of the ‘light category “ people in Eastern Europe too. I’m originally from there - pale, blonde and very light blue eyes. Although I don’t like most of the light palette colours. I like the contrast between my light colouring and dark colours more.
I find it almost impossible to tell which of the subseasons of summer , winter and spring, like light, or true someone is without draping. Soft and bright, cool and warm are easier, so one can at least tell what season it is. Some seasons like autumns have much bigger leaps in depth of hair and contrast between subseasons so they are much easier to tell. But for instance it's close to impossible between true and deep winter, light spring and true spring and all the summer seasons. Maybe it's because I'm scandinavian, and I see people with naturally light blonde and white hair all the time. So even If i have light hair it's dark in comparison to people who are actually light. When I've posted online many people try to tell me I'm light but at the same time that I look good in brighter colors and bright pink and yellow. People don't know what to do with pale persons.
Same. I just posted a similar comment. I actually like to think of it like a circular scale you can fall into. Im between light spring and light summer. I have spring hair, deeper blue eyes and coolish/warmish skin.
It's hard for me at least to say where this actress falls in which season. I believe I'm not certain because her hair is totally opposite her eyebrows, which I presume are their natural colour. Draping, with her hair totally covered, might reveal her true season. That's my t e o centsceorth from Australia. Bless you all 😊
My skin is the only part that falls into the "light" category. All my foundations are Fair/00 warm/porcelain warm lol 😆. If I don't set my watch to evert 15-20mins being outside for more than 30mins, I burn burn burn.
I was born with white hair that turned dark. My dad too nearly jet black. That matters imo. I think some people are like this and perhaps should go off of the birth color. Others are opposite and should go on season based on the darkest. BW/Light Spring is where I'd put her. That's where I am. You see examples of winter whites all the time if you look to nature. Type in "clear white winter fox" on Google and look at the images you'll see what I mean. Huge characteristic of winters who have white/whiteish platinum hair tend to have dark eyebrows and eyelashes. She's def an in-betweener that won't fit neatly. From an anthropology perspective on race there's so much diversity in the world you can't possibly not have any winters that have light hair. It's def a rare occurrence but look to a winter fox vs. a warm fox, or winter wolves vs. warm forest wolves, or a leopard vs. a snow leopard. Human people are no different. :D
The extremely unpigmented features you describe certainly do occur in the UK and Nordic countries, but as a native to that area I'd say you're likelier to find porcelain coloring in Scotland and Ireland than in Sweden. Brunettes have been fairly common for centuries among "viking" Nordic countries. Dark blond and light brown hair is very common. More often than not, it seems like Nordic blue-eyed blondes have light-to-medium complexions that tan easily into a deep golden brown. If I may make a suggestion, considering how many strange people out there fixate on mythical Nordic "purity", it might be more useful to stick to photographs of actual people rather than use ethnic stereotypes. BTW, the white haired man to the left of the three blondes looks like someone who may have had darker hair as a youth. I'm wondering if you'd re-categorize someone like that when his brown hair turns white.
The combination of dark brows and blond hair exists. But I've never met a naturally icy-blonde person who also had black eyebrows like Daenarys's. I think it was an artistic choice to convey that the Targaryans were inbred royals from an imaginary ethnicity. The closest I've seen was in people who were blond-ish and had some Scottish or Irish ancestry. Also, youngish people whose eyebrows stayed dark after their hair went white, for example actor John O'Hurley who played J Peterman on Seinfeld.

My daughter falls into this light category - except for the hair: she has dark hair. Does this make her a deep altogether?
I would say her(emilia clarke) dominant characteristic is either light or cool-icy hair icy skin. Going off the middle picture. Her tone of hair keeps changing
What if I bleach my hair? I am a brunette with blonde streaks?
Draping episode!
I am closer to the lady you had on the left. But, my eyes are deeper blue than hers. I struggle with the light category. I am not light for my ethnicity, but compared to everyone else I am.

Although I don’t like most of the light palette colours.
I like the contrast between my light colouring and dark colours more.
If you don't have natural contrast dark colors will look heavy and overwhelming and quiet aging too.
The darkest shade you could go with is blue
She seems clear to me with lot af contrast. Dark eyebrows and white shiny skin.Haircolour Unknown .Dark eyes? When do you tell, what you think she is?
So what if you have light eyelashes light eyebrows and darker hair but had white blonde as a kid now it’s like ashy brown/ashy blonde cool toned
Sounds like summer to me.

@@Diniecita Yes. Im definitely closer to true spring though. Carol gives some people "true light, true deep, true warm" results as well.
I think she is a winter. she is not a natural blond or early white. She is pale and dark. so is that Dark, cool and clear?
Jenifer Morrison on Once Upon a Time would be a "light" in my opinion during that particular show.
Grace Kelly is the closest example she wore These light and airy colors often today I think of elle fanning
An actress who is a light: Kirsten Dunst, Kathryn Morris
It's hard for me at least to say where this actress falls in which season. I believe I'm not certain because her hair is totally opposite her eyebrows, which I presume are their natural colour. Apologies, "my two cents worth", is how it should read.
Can I be light, soft, and warm? Light is definitely my prominent characteristic.
My skin is the only part that falls into the "light" category. All my foundations are Fair/00 warm/porcelain warm lol 😆. If I don't set my watch to evert 15-20mins being outside for more than 30mins, I burn burn burn.
My light gold freckles are the only things giving me color in my face lol 😂 (without make up)

Emilia Clark wore a wig for the majority of GoT season, but decided to bleach her hair for the last season and it destroyed her natural hair.
She is a soft summer without the right makeup and lightning she looked completely drained and tired backstage 😂
Oops, I thought I was light because my skin is very pale and my eyes are green. But my hair is dark blond and my brows and lashes are kind of dark. 😂
Amanda Seyfried
I think soft colors would be too dull on her. I think she will turn out to be a clear
She wore a wig and bleached the front
I wouldn't drape her as anything other than dramatic.
