Agricultural & Applied Economics Association

The Agricultural and Applied Economics Association is a professional association of people working in agricultural and applied economics.[1][2]

History

In 1910, the American Farm Management Association was established at Iowa State University.[3][4][5][6] In 1919, it became the American Farm Economics Association.[4][7] In 1968, a group left the organization and formed the American Agricultural Economics Association.[4][8] The association later became the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.[4]

The association holds an annual meeting every year.[9] The Journal of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association was launched in 2021.[10]

Fellows of the association include Scott H. Irwin and Elisabeth Sadoulet.[11]
